The Exercise Physiology and Performance Laboratory at SFU is an applied human physiology research lab with a focus on understanding the impacts of varied exercise stimuli on systems-level physiology. The overarching objective of the lab is to advance our understanding of adaptive and maladaptive exercise stress. Topics of interest include overreaching, low energy availability, training monitoring, sex differences, and alterations in cardiovascular and autonomic function following exercise interventions. Our research has applications to both human health and athletic performance.
